For my theory, I believe that perseverance can get you anywhere, confidence is necessary for success, and being a well-rounded leader who can be authoritative, but also democratic. My attitude is that I view problems as opportunities to get through a challenge, focus on present and future obstacles, and look for the positive by staying away from the negative. My principles are that I lead my actions more than words, there is always room for growth, unity is strength in a team setting, and how much effort you exert raises the possibility for success. Adversity is something that everyone goes through one way or another to become reach their goals. I am someone who is willing to fight through challenges in order to grow as a leader. Through weekly interactive sessions with local Austin leaders and campus and community wide service projects, we learn about our potential as emerging leaders and agents of social change.
