This report will be focused on leadership and see how two individual used their leadership skills to deliver a complex military project. Leadership is simply defined as having followers who believe in your vision and goals. In this report, we see how Lieutenant Colonel Yaron and Lieutenant Colonel Daniel exhibited their leadership skill and see the Pros and Cons of their leadership styles. I will also talk about how their leadership styles would have faired if the projects were to be executed in today’s Israel.

This style is very useful when you are trying to bring people on board to support you ideas and vision. He had to be democratic and asked his team questions on what way the project evacuation should take place.
(1) He exhibited this trait during one of the platoon meetings where he included an exercise in which each soldier was asked to describe the most serious event that he thought might take place during the evacuation, (Laufer, 2012).
Pros: This is a very good style of management especially in his situation trying to bring his team onboard a very unpopular mission even amongst the military folks
Cons: This is a military project that needs a decisive decision-making the mission may fail if he is unable to convince his officers.
(2) He exhibited courage as a leader by accepting the challenge of becoming the commander of the battalion when he was asked to do so. “Yaron, who perceived it as a personal challenge, immediately responded favorably” (Laufer, 2012)
Pros: It shows it was willing to take up any challenge at any time by accepting the responsibility of becoming the leader of the evacuation
