Leadership is when a person or a group of people guides people into the right path or success.
Activity 1.1:
Step 1:
My most recent and best leadership experience happened for a short amount of time which was spending my entire month of July as a Focus on Youth (FOY) staff at an arts and crafts summer camp. At the summer camp, every FOY was placed into different classes. For me, I was placed in a class of grade ones and twos along with my other two fellow co-workers. Imagine that the task that you are doing with your group/team is a cake. If you take the cake out of the oven too early, it will be undercooked and inedible. But if you take it out of the oven at the appropriate time, the cake will be ready and edible. Just like your undertaking, if you try to rush it so it can be finished earlier, the overall outcome may not be as good as you wanted it to be. So take your time, and everything will turn out alright.
Lesson 5: Believe in yourself. Always believe in yourself. If you are not the first one to believe in yourself, don’t expect others to believe in you. Believing in yourself gives you confidence, and confidence is what attracts people to trust you. When you don’t believe in yourself, you are proving to the world that you are not worthy enough to be a great leader or that you are not capable of accomplishing anything. But when you believe in yourself, you show people that you are capable of doing anything and they will trust you on that.
