"All of the great leaders have had one characteristic in common: it was the willingness to confront unequivocally the major anxiety of their people in their time. This, and not much else, is the essence of leadership". —John Kenneth Galbraith. For decades, business professors and teachers debate what makes a magnificent leader and if leadership qualities determine the ability of being a successful entrepreneur. As a result of this debate, leadership is divided into three aspects. The first aspect proposes leaders have innate unparalleled set of qualities and abilities to lead others ; they are naturally gifted and talented. The second aspect of the debate proposes leaders are made through what they learn, develop and experience in their lives. Finally, the third aspect suggest a combination of genetically unique born leaders who dedicate themselves to improve their talented abilities in leading. When it comes to leadership traits is it’s the DNA who determines leadership skills? And if peoples do not have leaders genetic are they able to learn how to lead?. …show more content…
As a fact, born leaders present charismatic personalities as well as innovative ideas at an early age in order to achieve leadership. In the article "Are Leaders Born?" by Paul Bridle, the author states that 60% of business executives presented themselves as leaders who take responsibility and guide their peers during their period of studies in schools. They all described as distinct communicators where they able to use words along with body language to motivate individuals and influence their ability to achieve tasks.
