Leadership Qualities In The Hobbit

“Great leaders find ways to connect with people and help them fulfill their full potential” -Steven J. Stowell. In the novel The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien there is a character named Gandalf. Gandalf is the leader in a quest although I personally think that he does not have the right qualities to be a leader. He is a leader in an odd sense because he is not always there in times of need. Although he is said to be their leader he let them get horribly lost. To me a leader is someone who has confidence, motivation and is always there for you. Meanwhile Gandalf is missing one of the most important factors of being a leader, he is not always there to lead, he is not reliable. Other people my disagree but i myself think that Gandalf does not
