When I hear the word leadership, I think of it as a quality, a skill and trait that is gained through life experiences. Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or organization. We have all had some type of leadership in our lives. From our parents, our teachers, and supervisors. Leadership is not about dictating, or giving orders. Instead of telling how it is done, it is showing how things get done. I cannot expect any member of my team to do things that I would not do. I am not above picking up trash around the property, or changing a light bulb, even though I have a grounds keeper and maintenance technician. By showing that I am willing to stay late to get the job done, go above and beyond my job description, and I genuinely care about my job, I not only set an example, I set the standard for my team. Even when no one may be watching what I am doing, I have to carry myself as if everyone is

Individual Leadership Philosophy SFC Kim, Chun S. SLC 17-001 My leadership philosophy is all about motivating and inspiring Soldiers with some tactics (ie: listen to your Soldiers and trust them). Leadership is considered to be the act guiding a group of individuals or organization towards a certain goal or direction in hopes for the achievement of extraordinary things. The way in which an individual leads is solely based on his or her personal values and beliefs. In an educational setting, an individual must have a vision about how teaching and learning should be provided for the group of students being served and additionally have the mindset to create a shared vision amongst stakeholders. It is my personal philosophy that school should be an organization where all individuals, leaders, teachers, and students alike, learn and grow together, creating a school culture that fosters equity and access. Curriculum can be used to create…
