Now-a-days the hospitality and tourism industry is a fast-growing industry, in which service and its people is a key factor for success. Having said this, recruiting the correct person with passion, able to be a good leader and manager will bring the positive side of the industry up by fulfilling the customers’ needs. How to achieve this? How the industry is able to meet all those needs and be sure their employees are ready to offer the service? One way to achieve this is to develop a leadership management training program. This program bases on the “application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to training activities to realize the outcome of training.” (“Manual on Training Management", pp. 1-20)

For the disadvantages, the outcome of the training will depend on the experience, knowledge and how well prepared is the trainer to drive the training program desire. Another disadvantage is that normally it is a long path before actually seeing the results. Training programs are procedures that need to be followed in order to achieve the effect. However, these procedures takes time to create the effect desire. For instance, it was tested by Brandon Hall Group that the longer the program it is, the greater the impact will have over the trainees. (Fisher, n.d). Another way in which the program fails its aim is that generic programs are usually ineffective as they cannot meet individual strengths of potential leaders. It has more than 4300 hotels & resorts in 94 countries, fact that proves how huge and successful they have become.
