Leadership Reflection
Leadership is one of the most widely talked about subjects and at the same time one of the most elusive and puzzling. I cannot express my lament and hate for this subject ever since I apply to business school at ECU. I am not dismissing leadership is unnecessary but the opposite. In this current chaotic world leadership is imperative to the communities, companies, the military, unions, universities, sports teams, and for the nation. However, we have a hypocritical love/hate views about power wielders and dislike anyone who tries to boss us around. My experience in leadership started way before I decide to take BUSI 1000-4200. It was when I unhappily pursuing a major that does not work with my innate talents with people

My first application was at a youth conference, this 3 days conference is the encouragement for my development of followship as a leader because there is no way I can do and be everywhere at the same time. A followship is a social relationship between the leader, followers and the group. Followers should not be subservience or passive obedience to leader. The reason is a team is only as good as it weakest link. I discover that I must let other team members help me, as I am great at organization and lead other have to fill in creative and brainstorming role. It is a process whereby followers engage in critical thinking, and interact and support the leader to help achieve a task. To do this take trust from everyone this strengthen relationship which is very important in business culture because it drive synergy and efficiency across the whole organization. People work better with people they can trust and get along with. The interaction between leader and follower drive new ideas with many skills from one compliment other. Good followers are accountable and influence the leader’s views. In tough time they can even substitute for the leader. My success was twofold the conference force teamwork in which relationship must be build and maintain for all the team challenges. This leadership event have a lasting impact on me. The conferences and mission are momentary events, but I still regard them as one of the most influential undertaking in my leadership
