According to transformational and charismatic leadership theory the leaders are always up for raising the performance of the followers and developing their skills in an effective manner. Carlos have portrayed this ability of charismatic leader in a significant manner by making the cross-functional teams in the organization and due to which the first phase of revival was successful. Carlos was able to implement the sense of responsibility among the employees and they begin giving suggestion for the enlistment of the company that was not the situation when Carlos was not the CEO of the company. In addition to this people who exhibit transformational leadership posses high level of internal values and ideology and with these values they are effective …show more content…
This sort of leadership support followers as they assist them in adopting a new approach for a particular task and in this manner they help in evolving innovative ideas that can transform the whole face of the organization in a significant manner (Howard, 2002). This style pushes the followers to think out of the box by engaging them in careful problem solving situation.
The above stated two factors are clearly depicted by Carlos in his leadership style, as he emphasized on revival plan of the company, in which different departments were asked to give their respective action plan to enhance the productivity. In addition to this Carlos also led emphasis on the enrichment of the product design and encourage the team to work on this section more rather investing in the equity (Maclean, 2001). This helped the employees in evolving their creativity and enhancing their reach further deep in the efficiency of the product.
