They give people a chance and an opinion, this is good as all the subordinates have a chance and they have an opinion, also a point to be put across if it is good or bad. The leader would still maintain control and still is in charge, but could act on others opinions, this is good as the subordinates may have good ideas to forward and as a team they could be successful instead of having just the leader’s opinion. would listen to other people’s views and ideas, the ideas may be bad or could be good and if the leader takes the idea on then he would be to blame and the subordinate as the leader had just agreed on a suggestion but this is also a good thing for a leader as he would not only be to blame as he did not suggest it should happen but …show more content…
This could link to transactional leadership as they get rewarded for the effort and ideas they put forward with the group. These are the main things to be required to lead a successful Democratic leadership, honesty, intelligence, courage, creativity, competence and fairness.

• Powers the team as they build confidence

A type of leadership style the leader are always hands-off and subordinates members to make the decisions. This is generally the leadership style that leads to the lowest productive leadership. The subordinates make all the decisions the leader stands back and stays out of the way and lets the team carry on and the leader would only explain what is needed in the task and he wouldn’t explain on how to complete the task. The subordinates need to take charge of their own responsibilities this leadership works well if the team are motivated and highly skilled. They also maybe capable of working on their own. Since the subordinates are experts on what they do and have a strong knowledge and skills to do independent work and may have a high standard on accomplishing a task, that has been set that has been given a little guidance on what to do, some may take it as a mystery work and like exploring around what they have to do this makes work more interesting for them. They may have more knowledge on certain areas that the leader may not have so this gives them a chance to prove that they are capable on certain areas.
