Every form of civilization needs a leader. In Lord of the Flies the boys chose Ralph as their leader, but later on, Jack makes his own group, the hunters. The United States has a similar leadership way. The United States has two political parties, The Republican, and Democratic parties. In the beginning, when the boys got landed on the island, the boys had a choice between Jack and Ralph. The kids chose Ralph as their chief of the group. Ralph is the more practical and wise leader, that wanted to get rescued off the island. While Jack was the more savage type and wanted to eat and have fun. Ralph was the one who came up with the idea to build a fire to get rescued by someone. Jack was the person that was careless and listen to Ralph. Later
