With so many different types of services from adult and children care homes, community mental health services, community drug and alcohol services, residential rehabilitation services along with a whole range of other services that work with vulnerable individuals it is of vital importance that services have to right management and leaders within these types of services.

In having strong management and leaders in place it ensures that services are being managed and maintained within the law and in an effective way that provides a positive and supportive service to service users.
Without effective management and leadership within health and social care settings then services and organisations would become dysfunctional and ineffective and the quality of care would be poor. This has been demonstrated over previous years with the likes of Winterbourne view and Orchid view where there were serious cases of neglect and abuse which in part stemmed from poor management and leadership, poorly recruited staff and lack of sufficient and appropriate training.
Having strong managers and leaders within services provides clear ways of working where the company or organisations policies, procedures, aims and objectives are being adhered to and met along with ensuring that service users are fully supported.
