I was born and raised in a Christian environment and as a believer in God. I was homeschooled my whole life up until freshman year of high school where I moved on to attend a private Christian academy. Being homeschooled helped prepare me to assert my faith for the “real world” where it would be assessed. Though at times being homeschooled was the most difficult part of my life- being someone who loves meeting new people- it was a felicitous decision which allowed me to grow divergently from others and I am forever grateful for the sagacious mentality I acquired in those years.
Still to today I am attending the same Christian academy and it has helped develop my walk with the Lord in a deeper and more intimate way than before. My school evolves

Not only have I been trained to think like a leader, but I have also been given many opportunities to act like a leader. I’ve been able to utilize my savoir-faire in leadership through selected advocacy participation, being captain of sports teams, organizing school dances and fundraisers, teaching middle school classes, and so much more. By being able to serve as leader to the generations under me, I’m not only an exemplar but I’ve been chosen to act the part of a prophet, guiding the future generations to follow their callings in the path of the Lord.
By being given the opportunity to attend Liberty University, I can fully pursue my calling through the freedom of walking with the Lord in a godly environment. With my faith being in a constant state of activation and practice, I am able to excel in my calling and academics. For it has been by the grace of God that I have been able to unveil my destiny for which the Lord has set a path for me. And because of that, I am ever grateful and sedulous in assuring that I complete the prerequisites to fulfill my dreams in the Lords

Growing up, leadership has always played a huge role in my life. It has helped me grow as a person and allowed me to learn new skills. In middle school, I enjoyed working with my peers to organize events and help others. For example, as a member of my school’s choir, I took the opportunity to help organize concerts, design brochures and make posters to inform the school community about upcoming concerts and events. In addition, I took part in the fundraiser to help raise money for our music department at Carson.…

My leadership experiences are one of the most important aspects of my life because being able to contribute to a meaningful cause, as I did with Operation Smile and Wounded Warrior Project, is extraordinarily empowering and essential for character development. Additionally, my leadership experiences were ways of giving back to the community that nurtured me. Participating in Model UN and being a student leader at my church helped me to develop a sense of pride in my own voice, which is something that I hope to impart to others in my community. Cultivating tomorrow’s leaders begins with developing confidence in oneself, which I would always strive towards as a member of the National Honor…

I recently attended a Liberty University Convocation that really spoke to me while attending College For a Weekend. While I sat in the Vines’ Center seats, I listened to Donald Miller talk about the four kinds of people in a story: the victim, the villain, the hero, and the guide. I personally feel that my trials through life were given to me so I could fulfill the role of a guide in my life and others. My perspective is not commonly found in society today and I have a strong desire in my heart to help. I believe that Liberty University can help me grow and develop leadership skills to become what God has intended me to be to glorify him while helping others in their own individual lives.…

Being a leader can on occasion be difficile. Sometimes, you have to do things you do not wish to do, and other times, you have to really be able to coordinate events and be held culpable for what accompanies them. A leader, at no time, should be unreliable and should always be collaborative. I admit I have had what it takes to be a leader based on what I have accomplished this year. Being involved in AVID for four years now, I have continuously admired it.…

True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…

An Introduction to Leadership The study of leadership is much wider than I first realized. After reading these summaries over this first week it is apparent that my perspective has been shaped by my experiences and by the limited about of study which I have done to “teach” servant leadership. Thinking back on those occasions of teaching, I certainly did not have a broad enough perspective on the subject of leadership. The Jesuits view of leadership is new to me and it is a perspective I look forward to learning more about.…

On August 26, 2005, I gave my life to Christ, and it was the start of a whole new chapter of my journey. I still remember that night vividly in my head. The feelings of excitement, joy, and love were very tangible in my heart. My mom and dad were both sitting beside me on my bed while I was told the importance of this decision and how my life would never be the same. Even at 5 years old, I was aware of my decision to follow Jesus and accept him into my heart.…
