The Empowerment and Communication in Leadership
The learner is writing about leadership in the workplace, and the value of a good leadership team in an organization. The performance of a leader with the team will affect the outcome for the organization. Another important step shown is how the leader empowers the team to better the organization. One will also learn the things that can keep a leader from empowering the team. For a leader to be efficient in the leadership and empowerment of the team, good communication is critical. When a leader have a good communication with one’s team, both parties will produce a great understanding. Communication is the exchanging of news or information. Without communication, it is almost impossible to have a successful organization. There are different communication styles. One communicating style is someone comes in with information for the group of people. As a leader, there would be times that the leader give information, but at the same time, the leader has to know how to receive information. “The importance of face-to-face (F2F) communication for the successful accomplishment of complex, high-tech team tasks” (Stryker, & Santoro, 2012, p.51). By putting a team together to come up with the best efficient product, Mr. Straberg showed how to communicate. By communicating with the team, Mr. Straberg was able to come up with a product that can be better than the
