A lot of self-awareness certainly have taken place, which triggered from the experiences in the past due to being unaware of the reality in itself. I understand that I am in this program to improve my leadership skills, and that is what this course has provided me with, for which I’m really grateful.

Forgiveness does not mean that you condone the other person's actions or words. It does not mean that there will not be any consequences” that’s, I feel, is a life lesson and insight that it never occurred to me previously. This is the problem with perfectionists. These statements have brought me to the realization of myself that no one is perfect, and I don’t need to behave in that context. Also, by one of the students, specifically, "Forgiving those who wrong us often helps us move beyond strong negative emotions which could harm us psychologically and physically" hence a real-life story shared by Yvonne following this quote is what makes us realize it’s time to move on and forgive those who have wronged us, of course with the grace of God. I must admit that these are eye openers and great learnings to move on in my life. I do understand completely now that forgiving is not merely by way of expression, rather, a proper protocol needs to be followed through of forgiving, and accepting myself to go through it to renew my life, and not let these reactions get the best of me. It helped me identify the values of what a transformational leadership really is while considering the four spheres of leadership that are habits, heart, hands, and head. The book, Lead Like Jesus would be very practical and simple to use in my everyday life. I feel the way the book is written by Blanchard & Hodges makes sense and very straightforward read and it’s calling me to re-read it again, and again so that I don’t miss out or forget any vital parts of it. After reading it I can definitely incorporate those strategies easily to my personal and professional leadership. Although, without even realizing I know I have been applying some of them already. As with anything, it takes time to make the necessary changes, which I’m working on intentionally. My end goal is to be a transformational and servant leader so that I can have a positive impact on anyone I encounter. I would say every single student, professor, the book and the assigned articles had a positive influence on me and made the course interesting, enjoyable and very practical to apply in our everyday life.
