To begin, most of them are not related to each other. Even still, they risk their lives for each other. In particular, when Johnny killed Bob the Soc. This proves they hurt people and in some cases murder people. People might say that they could’ve solved the problem with less violence. However, what they don’t think, is why they do it. In this event, it was a kill or get killed. “I didn’t mean to, but they were drownin’ you…” (74). If Johnny hadn’t killed Bob, the Soc’s would’ve killed Pony and quite possibly Johnny. As an act of self-defense, it wouldn’t count as an evil deed, it might count as a mistake instead.
