Law is a dynamic concept that adapts to the needs of the public. I desire to study law so that I may implement my knowledge towards protecting the rights of citizens. My interest in law sprouts from my enthusiasm for critical reasoning, analysis, and justice. My background has prepared me for a future in this field.
Over the past three years I have engaged in Advanced Placement courses. Rigorous courses such as these have prepared me for higher education. My receipt of 5's on the AP United States History and AP European History examinations demonstrate my firm foundation for the study of law on the grounds that social sciences greatly influence laws. Also, I partook in political science, psychology, and entrepreneurship classes at my local community college. Dual college enrollment has presented various opportunities to study subjects that pertain to my interests. I thrive within these courses, particularly political science. Recently, I was promoted from a public relations position to vice-president. Holding various leadership roles within this program has developed my leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Through this program, I have taken numerous business courses. During my semester of Contract Law, I received invaluable knowledge from a retired prosecutor and I attended "Law Day" at Whittier Law School. Also, I was invited to teach a business class to middle school students over the summer. During this course I lectured on topics such as sales, marketing, and interviewing. Through this program I have obtained an internship at Proove Biosciences, where I will soon present research on how laws affect medical businesses. This business program undoubtedly augmented my passion for public service and has also improved my public speaking skills as I have operated the monthly meetings utilizing parliamentary
