2. With over 10 years of Law Enforcement experience, I encountered several types of situations and personalities. With this experience, I felt a calling helping fellow officers with hardships since they are America’s Homefront protection. So I became a Sheriff Chaplain with the local sheriff’s department. I have always had a passion for individuals that have similar vocations as I do, but this hasn’t always been my passion. With these past experiences, it brought an interest to becoming a Chaplain. I saw a need that the Army or the Police Department did not provide. I was forced to handle my hardships by myself with no social support. It brought unnecessary emotional pains that I was not prepared to handle. Through divine guidance, I felt a calling to becoming an Army Chaplain. It takes a special person to minister the needs to an Army Soldier. Additionally, it takes a special person to combine their ministry and use it to become a great Staff Officer, Soldier, and Pastor. Combining my Police Officer experience and my ministry, I feel that I would be able to combine Soldier, Officer, and Pastor as an Army
