Laura HillenBrand born May 16, 1967, and grew up in the town of Fairfax in the state of Virginia.
Hillenbrand began her writing career at an early age, while she attended Kenyon College she was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome… a condition with no cure. Unable to attend the college anymore Laura was stuck at home, but overcame her illness and published her first book Seabiscuit in 2001. Which was a huge hit, 9 years later she made herself more known with her book Unbroken which she published in 2010. It was the story of the Olympic athlete Louis Zamperini as well as a war hero, the book was a big hit and was later turned into a movie which was also a major hit.
