Laura And Howie's Excursion

What decision would you make if you were the victim of a prank? In The Goats book a boy and a girl were left on an island because of a mean prank at their summer camp. The decisions that they made throughout their journey were not wise. Laura and Howie are two kids that got stripped and marooned on an island by their “friends” at camp. They stole from the cottage after they left the island, they stole money from the car in the parking lot, and they also stole the teenagers clothes. The point is they didn’t need to steal all that stuff, they could’ve asked for money, and they didn’t need new clothes because they had fine ones from the cottage. Of course, it is possible to disagree with the view that they stole a lot of things from different people and instead argue that they were trying to survive on their own and be fearless and courageous for once. However, stronger evidence is on the other side. What must be remembered is that you don’t need to steal to survive you can ask for money, clothes and food if you are nice and polite

The novel written by William Golding, The Lord of The Flies, is a story about kids that are allowed to govern themselves; they get to make up the rules and choose if they will follow them or not. In the strive to create a civilization in which they can survive, and eventually get rescued, they have to find ways to stay together, but, while not only failing to do so, they become savages and go around distributing fear amongst themselves. The fear then creates a cycle, where the more fear there is the less the rules apply and the more one becomes savage and imposes fear on others. Therefore, the use of a conch, Golding symbolizes the rules and civilization needed by humans to maintain order and avoid savagery, which then results in fear.…

First they think about situational factors including environment and surroundings, otherwise known as right place, right time. Secondly, they look at biological factors that encompass emotional development and factors of the brain.…
