One important reason that Laura and Howie excursion was a learning experience that was justifiable by the circumstances they were in is that Laura and Howie were abandoned on an island. Howie got left on the island and they called him the goat. Howie were striped out of they clothes, he got left naked on the island. He went to this cabin and that's when he found Laura, when he found Laura she was naked with a cover around her. But it was dark so he couldn't see her. Howie and Laura broke into the car, they broke into the motel, the cabins and the cottage. They did this so they can have shelter to sleep under to protect them from bad weather.
