There are many ways to indicate that something is funny or that you're dying of laughter. People use different abbreviation of laughing out loud depending on their personality. There is the typical “Lol, lol, and (laughing emoji)” which to me is the most common that most people used in the data pool, it’s claiming that something is funny and making a conversation more light. Then we have the “aha, haha” which is the spelling of the actual laughter, meaning that you had a chuckle. “Lmao or lmaoo” is a sillier way to say it’s funny, but still trying to be serious. When I was in middle school I remembered that this was one of the more popular words that everyone would use, not sure why, but maybe because of the word ass that’s added in abbreviation.
