Standards in Conducting Research Laud Humphreys conducted social research that are in violation of the Belmont Report. The Belmont report was a set of “Ethical Principles and Guidelines for the Protection of Human Subjects of Research” developed in 1978. Its purpose was define “acceptable conduct” in relationship to any research that involved human subjects. Established, were the three requirements to conducting human research in an ethical manner.
