Starting at the beginning when Asner was talking about the hunting patterns of the lions and how they were able to disprove the belief that only the lionesses hunted. In fact the male lions hunted in tightly packed vegetation whereas the females hunted in the open plain. Again when he was explaining just how much information they got from flying above the rainforest; they could tell what type of trees were growing, if they had vines growing on them, and they could see individual branches and leaves.
8) The first question that Greg is trying to answer is: How do we manage our carbon reserves in tropical forests? It’s important that this question is answered because even though this question is specific to tropical forests, I think that the solution can be applied to other areas as well, not just tropical forests. Especially when that solution will help reduce any further global warming. The question can started to be answered by using carbon mapping and trying to keep the carbon in the forest. Basically need a “high tech accounting system,” to know where the carbon is exactly so that when they stop deforestation “they know what they’re
