This article is called “Latinos in World War II: Fighting on Two Fronts” and was written by Lorena Oropeza, for the National Park Service, adapted by Newsela staff. It is a secondary source due to the fact that it was not written by a latino in WWII and is just providing examples of latinos in WWII. The author is claiming that latinos have been fighting for their citizenship as Americans through military service. This is a strong claim due to the fact that it is backed up with many examples of which wars a vast amount of latinos have fought in, how they’ve gotten recognized for their work, and how they began to be treated as the Americans they are.
