The hate that people have created exist all around the world, but the hate that has been talked about the least is Colorism. Colorism is the prejudice or discrimination against individuals with dark skin tone, typically among people of the same ethnic or racial group. This mode of discrimination predominantly impacts people of color. “These forms of white domination, rewarded those who emulated whiteness culturally, ideologically, economically and even aesthetically”(Hunter 2005). The Cross-Cultural colorism between Latin America and the United States was all due to the high degree of racial segregation between the light-skinned and the dark-skinned people.

Particularly in “Mexico when they experienced a high degree of racial miscegenation, that's when the color-caste system was firmly in place”(Hunter 2005). In the 1700’s the Caste System was a created to pick classification for individuals; based on Gender, Race, Skin Color or place of birth.
