The states that when students get around 50 more minutes of sleep a night the have better attendance rates. Also schools that tried this later start time for school found a large decrease in student tardies. This is the second reason all school should start at a later start time.
The third reason that I believe changing the start times will have a positive impact is because there has been a large decrease in student depression in schools who start later. Also studies say “... in 1997 the seven comprehensive high schools in the Minneapolis Public School District shifted the school start time from 7:15 a. m. to 8:40 a.
