Methodology
The aim of the analysis is to study the effects that late night political comedy has on politics. While these are both different and well-respected programs that provide viewers with a hardheaded and a playful understanding of current affairs, there is a body of a political frame of mind that can be searched and characterized in a style that can be looked at as information and still seem entertaining. The quantitative analysis, which will be in the shape of an online survey, will analyze how late night political humor has the ability influence our perception of politics. The point of the survey will be looking at two different aspects.
First, whether or not the survey taker believes to be influenced by late-night television programs. This will be done by asking a series of questions in regards to their relationship of how much political information they know. Second, will focus on questioning the survey taker on whether or not they watch late night TV. By calling for these questions, the theory will be geared towards how late night television is altering our views on political figures. Information that previously acquire, will not be ignored and will put forward as fact. The survey, that was made, will be structured with questions that focus on the understanding of the conjecture and test it to determine any correlation between late night television and politics. Data Analysis The design of the survey was to perform a generalized conception of how late night political comedy has an influence on political figures. In the procedure of collecting data, a survey was carefully built to focus on all ages of the demographic, if they followed the news and if they watch late night TV. The survey was anonymous and was distributed on various social media platforms for anyone to answer. While remaining unbiased, the focus remains consented with the two views in mind. Whether or not the survey taker believes he or she’s perception of politics is guided by late night programs or if the survey taker does not watch late night television. In total, 17 different people had completed the survey and had displayed many extraordinary results. The age range consisted of ages ranging from 18 years old to late 60’s, having a consisted balance of young adults to older adults. The data indicates that 63% of the survey takers keep update with the news, while 25% remain at a maybe and 13% say they do not. In comparison to the data, about 6% keep up with the news via newspaper, 25% with television and 69% with the Internet. 75% of the survey takers prefer to follow the news, while the 25% say that they do not follow the news. When asked which preferred time they usually watch the news, 31% preferred watching the news in the morning while 69% of the data comes from people who watch the news at night. The information becomes more and more consistent as the questions begin to focus on late night television. Approximately 60% of the information added up from people that watched late night television and 40% do not watch late night TV. Granting to the data, 73% of the survey takers prefer watching late night television via television, while there is a small minority of 27% that favor to watch late night television via other means on the Internet. On an interesting note, those who actually watch late night television programs, roughly about 57% of the survey takers preferred watching “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,”

However, in order to achieve that goal, of finding out if late night television does play an influential factor in learning about politics, the survey responses must be broken down into two parts, does late night television play a factor in defining our political perception or late night TV does not influence our perception in politics. With the admission of using Qualtrics, a professional online website that allows the ease of creating a publishing survey online, the information was categorized on a simple system of how many people answer whichever question based on how many people read the survey.
