I was born and raised is Las Vegas, Nevada. As of 2013, Las Vegas, Nevada’s population was recorded at 1,500,455. In 1995 the population was recorded at 793,432. In the year 1995, there were 60,178 crimes that were committed in Las Vegas. However in 2013 it was recorded that there were 59,342 crimes committed, both violent and property crimes. So the crime rate had gone down a bit, but the population has increased. The total amount of violent crimes in Las Vegas recorded in 1995 was 9,523. In 2007 there were more violent crimes committed, totaling to 13,641. So there was an increase on violent crime from 1995 to 2007. Property crimes in 2007 increased to 58,897.
