The nursing program at your university has long been known to me as a department with high academic standards and great compassion for the people who walk through the door. With that in mind I would like to recommend Larissa Muresan in her application for the nursing program.

Larissa is an extravagant woman who exerts strong leadership skills who excels at interpersonal skills and is an intelligent individual who dedicates her time to her education, volunteer work, family, and local church. Her education has been a priority to her and her passion for nursing is clearly visible through her character and actions.

Larissa has been a volunteer at my business and she has been a wonderful and heart warming help to our patients at our estate. She provides not only bedside care to the patients, but she has helped manage the business by assisting in administrative duties with telephone calls, handling patient visits and assisting help to the other employees. I have known Larissa for many years and I am continually impressed at her motivation, determination, and hard work. Larissa has been able to devote her time to volunteering at our business while also being a full time student at California State University, East Bay and achieving admirable grades. In addition, she also serves her community church and youth by organizing events and lending emotional support to the church youth and also lends a helping hand to her parents who are not familiar

My journey first began when I decided to attend The University of Iowa in the fall of 2013 after graduating from Urbandale High School. I attended Iowa for 2 years and then when it came time to choose where I would apply to nursing school at I was stuck between wanting to continue on at Iowa’s College of Nursing, pending on my acceptance, but also needing a change in my life. I decided to choose change and Mercy College of Health Sciences presented an opportunity for just that. There is a program offered at Mercy College of Health Sciences (MCOHS) that was too good for me to pass up. My current focus has been on achieving my BSN and the program I had heard about was fairly new but provided an opportunity for me to get my BSN while doing it in only 2 short years.…

Nursing is a challenging, ever changing and advancing field. As medical discoveries are made nurses must learn the basics of not only the new medical discovery but also how to care for people that will be effected by the medical breakthrough. As such nurses must stay up to date on their education in order to stay compliant with not only their license renewal requirements but also know and understand new practices. If nurses fail to seek additional education after graduating from nursing school, there is an increased risk of not providing safe and efficient patient care. I personally feel that the Institute of Medicine (IOM) Future of Nursing had a lot of good recommendations.…

Equitable Outcomes If certain policies were put into place and enforced, it could have led to equitable outcomes for Precious. The caseworker from the welfare system should have conducted more thorough and regular visits, and could have noticed the toxic environment and that Precious was abused. Children show different signs of being abused such as physical marks, and behavior changes such as fear and anxiety. Precious probably showed some of these signs, and it would have been obvious that something terrible was happening to her. Unfortunately, the caseworker did not notice, or did not care enough to inquire and intervene (“Signs of Child Abuse”, 2016; Sapphire, 1996).…
