This behavior is normal because the child is new to this language and situation. He's exposed to a new environment and on top of that, he doesn’t speak the language. I don’t think reefing him is the best option at this time because he barely has 2 months in school. I would be worried if he would speak it and understand it but he seems to understand some words that mean he is leaning the language. Everything that he sees and hears is new to him and he’s observing to see what’s going on. He first needs to feel safe, comfortable and welcome to start speaking to others. We will continue observing him see if he makes improvements and then will go from there.
Some strategies that I would use to help him are teaching him the basic words to take
