“A Modest Proposal for bettering financial stability to prevent families in the world to starve and to end World Hunger.” It is a melancholy scene to see, all those families walking through the town, when they see the streets full of people buying necessary and unnecessary objects, followed by three, four, or six children, all in rags asking their parents to get them essential items for school, clothing or at least new pairs of shoes. These mothers instead of buying them the essential items, they are forced to pay rent, to buy food they could afford, to pay electricity or even to pay off debts. Family history has always intrigued me, as I want to know more about the times of the past and how my relatives grew up. As the world suffers today from instability and financial problems, I began to wonder what exactly it was like to grow up in the 1930’s during the Great Depression. Soon enough, she became a drug addict and her children were taken from her until she cleaned up.…

A broken English with her mother and a more structured English with everyone else. She also sometimes had to speak on the phone for her mother because it was hard to understand her. I can understand how hard it is to understand someone who doesn't speak English very well.
