As a part of a team of four, I participated in the robotics event 'Robogames 2013 ' at IIT Kanpur, where we designed a robot to play 6x6 tic-tac-toe game. We used the image processing techniques of image filtering and color segmentation in computer in order to recognize the moves by opponent and also the position of robot on the game board. We also developed the efficient algorithm to find best possible moves to be taken by robot. The processed signals from the computer were sent to the microcontroller through USART in order to control the movement of the robot across the arena. Our exceptional coding and designing techniques helped us bag the First Prize in the event. With the same team, we also participated in ‘Texas instrument Analog Design Contest-2014’ in which we made a low-cost, portable Tele-medicine equipment. The main motive behind this project was to provide medical facilities to the remotely located rural area by using existing technologies. The equipment consists of blood pressure meter, Digital Stethoscope, Pulse oximeter and digital Thermometer. We designed analog filters and amplifier in order to filter the unwanted signal and also amplify the required bio-medical signals. The whole design was implemented on a low cost development board (beaglebone black) which also hosts a small server. The required bio-medical signals is stored on the server, for access by the doctor. These …show more content…
Apart from understanding theoretical concepts I believe in applying these concepts to solve real life problems, so I have actively participated in extracurricular interests. Higher education in Electrical Engineering at XYZ university will help me to enhance my research skills and knowledge gained during bachelors. The excellent environment for research, technical facilities and expert guidance of Professors of xyz university will definitely help to achieve my goal. My research work will definitely create positive impact on the world and help in raising the living standard of people. I sincerely look forward to work and contribute to research at your
