Abortion Abortion is the intention termination of a human pregnancy followed by the death of the embryo or fetus. Some people said that the fertilized egg or the fetus is not a person until after birth, but other people argue that the unborn child is person from the moment of conception. R. M. Hare argues that abortion is impermissible but not because the embryo is human, he said that because each of us wants to live not aborted. He gave an example in the past time and he said that suppose if I talk with my other when she decided to aborted me and I am happy, and my mother will not die if she do not aborted me. In these cases I would tell her not to have an abortion me. Furthermore, I will gave her morally advise that she not to have an abortion and that is wrong, and let me to live …show more content…
As result of this if it wrong in this cases, then it is wrong in all cases except when the women would die if she does not abort. However, Judith Jarvis Thomson argues that abortion is morally impermissible, and said that the fetus is a human from the moment of conception. Also, She argues that since the fetus is a human being, so the fetus has a right to life, Furthermore, the mother has a to decide what happens in and to her body, but the fetus's right to life exceeds the mothers right to decide what happens in and to her body. AS result of this an abortion is wrong and impermissible except in some circumstances where pregnancy comes from rape, and when the mother’s life is at risk and she will die if the child is not aborted. However, she also said that for Extreme view the abortion is not allowed even to keep mother’s life. Also, she explain that to support the Extreme view the fetus is an innocent person and if the fetus is killed directly it is considered as murder, and murder is morally not allowed, so killing the embryo is morally

The mother choses to either live and let her baby die or die and let her baby live. A decision where she takes into consideration the life of the baby after her passing or her life after the passing of the baby. I believe that abortions are acceptable if the baby will live a diminished quality of life. If the baby is going to be born with serious physical handicaps, genetic problems, or mental defects the parents should have the option of abortion. I believe that if the woman was raped, she should have the option to undergo an abortion, because she did not consent to sex, it was forced upon her.…

“Performing the abortion would be directly killing the child, whereas doing nothing would not be killing the mother, but letting her die.” The conclusion that is drawn from this scenario is that your own right to life gives you the moral right to “unplug” yourself if your life is threatened. Equally, if there is a risk of the mother dying, she has a right to end the pregnancy in order to save herself. It cannot be considered murder to kill someone in order to save yourself. This analogy shows the extreme view to be false. To further weaken the extreme view, Thomson addresses the argument against third parties.…

Just like pulling the trigger of a gun you are not first-hand killing a person, but you are making the choice that ends in a person's death or harm.If you are okay with abortion you are okay with all murder. Another argument is that even if you don't want this child some other family could adopt this child and make the family complete. This abbey has right to happiness even if with another family. Abortion is not the answer, there is adoption. My last objection towards Thomson is that it is the woman's fault that they are pregnant they need to accept the consequences.Even with contraception, there is a small chance that you accept.…

The Permissibility of Abortion: Noonan V. Thompson The topic of abortion has been of much dispute throughout time. Some seeing abortion as the mother’s right to choice, others as murder. Most pro-life supporters argue that fetuses have the right to life and to aborting it is murder. Judith Thompson concedes that fetuses may have the right to life but that only gives the fetus a right to not be unjustly killed. Thus, if abortion is justifiable, then abortion is morally permissible.…

I will argue that a fetus cannot survive on it’s own and that a women should have free choice to her own body. an article I read titled Perspectives on Abortion, the author brings up a pro-choice author named Boonin, who argued that “...the fetus is not yet a person and does not have a moral value yet…if a fetus is considered a person, then a zygote or a woman’s egg is a person as well; and therefore are entitled to human rights.” (Lopez, pg. 515). Boonin is trying to argue that if a fetus has rights, then so does every egg in a women’s body. In the article titled Abortion: A Pro-Choice Perspective, Robert Blake argues that, “We see the fetus as a potential life to continued development is subordinate to the mother’s right to privacy, which includes the right to terminate an unwanted pregnancy.” (Blake, pg.…

I will argue that abortion is only morally correct in cases of a fetus having a severe genetic disorder and when the mother’s life is in danger. I will defend my argument by explaining how a fetus is a human being and that abortion deprives the fetus from having its meaningful future. Lastly, I will respond to the objections of a fetus not being a human being, speciesism, and specific cases of genetic defects in a fetus. The first and main thing I must address is the phrase “human being.” We can all agree, that a fetus is a human being in the biological sense. When looking at human life from a moral point of view, can a fetus be considered a…

Mary warren argues in her article "On the moral and legal status of abortion. ", that abortion is admissible under certain circumstances. She claims that even if the fetus is a human being and has a right to life, that right to life is overruled by a woman’s right to control what happens to her own body. Taking away that right is a violation to ones civil rights. If the government were to take away women’s right regarding reproductive choices, by forcing a woman to continue an unwanted pregnancy.…

So, this means that people would always believe that killing a human is wrong no matter what the situation is. Krisi Brown wrote in her article 10 Reasons Not To Have An Abortion, “From the moment of fertilization – better known as conception – a new human life is in existence. Ending this life is not ending “potential.” It is ending a life” (Brown). She believes that because there is a human life that is relevant to the world, you should not be able to kill it. If it is a double homicide to kill a mother and a child, then why isn’t it considered murder when a fetus is aborted.…

However those are the only justifications that I will accept. Abortion is and always will be an unjust killing to me, it is taking the life of an innocent child who did not ask to be a part of this world. If you can lay down and do what it takes to bring a child into this world, then you should be able to deal with your responsibility. Abortion without an actual cause of needing one is the easy way out, a person can carry the baby full term and detach themselves from the fetus once the baby has arrived. I have argued that abortion is nowhere near morally correct, and that the unborn child is a human at conception.…
