Lane Frost Informative Speech

Today I will be informing you about Lane Frost. Lane was born on October 12, 1963. He was born in La Junta, Colorado. Lane’s parents were living in LaPoint, Utah at the time. So after lane was born they went back to LaPoint, Utah. Lane first got into the somewhat bull riding industry when he was 5 or 6 years old. He would ride dairy calves on his family’s dairy cow farm. Then when he got old he got on his first bull. He was only at the age of nine when he got on the bull. His parents didn’t like the idea that Lane was riding bulls at the age of 9. But he didn’t listen to his parents. Then Lane met a man named Don Gay. Don said the same thing to lane that his parents did. Don thought that he was still too young to be riding bulls. Lane was only 24 when he won the world championship. In the year of 1988 Lane rode red rock successfully 4 out of 7 times. Back then Red Rock was the best bucking bull out there. There had been 309 attempts of people trying to ride him and nobody ever did. But that was about to change when lane got on him. Lane became the first ever bull rider to successfully ride Red Rock for 8 seconds. Lane got a lot of attention after that. For many other years Lane held the world champion bull rider. Then one day on July 30, 1989 Lane went to Cheyenne, Wyoming for a bull riding championship called Cheyenne Frontier Days. When Lane got on the bull he got bucked off with a score of 85. Then lane got hit by the bull named “Takin Care of Business.” Lane got hit in the ribs by the horns of the bull and one of the ribs punctured an artery that lead to his heart. Lane later died that day due to the bull. Lane was buried in Hugo, Oklahoma near by his mentor and hero Freckles Brown. Recently after Lane’s death Cody Lambert his rodeo partner was the founder of the PBR. Cody also invented the protective vest the riders have to wear now to protect them. In August of 1990 Lane was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado, Springs Colorado. In 1994 the movie 8 Seconds came out
