Land O Lakes Informative Speech

I attended a speaker event representing Land O’Lakes Inc. on October 25, 2016 from 6 PM to 7 PM in Blegen Hall, which was presented by Adam. To briefly discuss about the speaker’s education, he finished his undergraduate degree in History and is currently an MBA candidate at the Carlson School of Management with a particular focus on supply chain management. One of the reasons he decided to join the Carlson School of Management to pursue a graduate degree is to seek more career opportunities as he could not find a job within his field after his graduation from college. Besides his academic career, he has a five-year work experience in the Land O’Lakes. Inc. Based on his work experience in the Land O’Lakes, Adam talked about the overall company and its operations.
Land O’Lakes is an agricultural company based in the Minneapolis-St. Paul suburb of Arden Hills, Minnesota in 1921, with a particular focus on the dairy industry. It is especially best known for its butter and other high quality dairy products. In its existence of ninety-five years, the company has expanded to one of the largest agricultural food companies in the United Stated. The third significant business of the company is Winfield Solutions, LLC, which is a subsidiary of Land O’Lakes Inc. The purpose of Winfield is to help independently owned and operated agricultural retailers compete. They provide these retailers with technical know-how, proprietary tool, and research based solutions to help farmers succeed in the field as well as in the market
