High rates of antibiotic prescription, especially broad-spectrum, accelerate selective pressure on microbials to acquire resistance. Traveling of resistant microbials makes the problem a global threat. To tackle the threat internationally, we should share usage status of antibiotics in each country, especially countries consuming large amounts of antibiotics like Japan.
