King Arthur also trusted Lancelot. Several other knights became suspicious of Lancelot and Guinevere’s private romance. King Arthur’s nephew gathered 12 knights and sent them to Guinevere’s chamber catching them in bed. When King Arthur found out, the King found himself in ruinous war with Lancelot. Queen Guinevere later became a nun, where she spent the rest of her life praying and helping the poor. Filled with remorse of what her and Lancelot had created, and she vowed never to see him again(Encyclopedia).
