Lance Edward Armstrong is an American Professional Road Racing Cyclist and a testicular cancer survivor. He is the 1993 Elite Men's Road Race World Champion and won the Tour de France seven times back to back from 1999 to 2005 (“Lance Armstrong”). In between his success of becoming the most world famous cyclist came complication. The actual question society tries to solve is: does Lance Armstrong's philosophical and social contributions outweigh his doping allegations? This depends on the way society interprets and comprehends this situation. Most of the time in cases like this, it’s the media making up false things about famous celebrities in order to make money for publishing false things to make people believe everything the media says. However, it could be true information. But what the media stated about Lance Armstrong abusing the sport cycling by doping was true, earning him a bad reputation from the public, but he made his own way to make society not believe what the media would say about him. And it doesn't seem fair to everyone that tried their best to win that title in the 1999 Tour De France, but at least he came out clean and admitted everything and also apologized to everyone about his mistakes. Armstrong has opened his eyes and saw all the hurt and madness he has caused with his lies and is correcting them as the way life takes him. Also, Armstrong made a cancer foundation which makes up for the whole doping scene he had in the past.
