It is obvious that framing is an important part of persuasion. After gaining a better understanding of both Lakoff and Luntz views of framing I believe they both have a compelling argument. However, I believe that the view Luntz provides is stronger when it comes to persuasion. Luntz uses metaphors for situations which draws people's attention to the topic in a way that the creator wishes it to be perceived. For example, Luntz has been credited for changing the names of major political issues such as says the “war on terror” versus the “war on Iraq”.
