Lakefront Highschool Narrative

This is my very last day at Lakefront highschool before I move to Mountain View High and I could not be regretting it more. My dad got a new job in Missouri and we have to move there. The thought just rushed to my brain, I have to leave my very best friend behind that I’ve known since pre-school. Right as I walked into school I gave her the biggest hug I have ever given someone. It made mine and her face turn red as I wrapped my arms around her and squeezed her to the point she couldn’t breath. I finally let go of her and we both sighed a sigh of relief. Then suddenly I started to burst out crying the ugliest cry I could. This was the last time I am going to see her in a long time and I don’t know what I would do without her. We talk about guy problems together, we cry together, laugh together and do …show more content…
Elias’s class. She had me stand in the back of the class while she figured out where to sit me, she sat me next to Adam Bryce. This is the guy that every girl wanted to date and every guy wants to be, he is quarterback for the football team and dating, of course, Alexa Macias. As I sat next to him, my heart started pounding out of my chest and I would feel my palms getting sweaty. We exchanged our names and started class. Today is volleyball tryouts! After school I have to go in the locker room and get ready, I am so excited! I have been practicing all day and night for this and I feel that I am finally ready to get the spot on this team. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Mountain View has won the regional state championship 5 years in a row! Finally, it’s the end of 8th period and I can finally go to tryouts. I walk into the locker room and there I see standing there is Alexa Macias and her two other little minions that follow her around and do everything that she asks. We both stand there with a blank stare at each other while we wait for someone to say

The interview on "The Remarkable Story of the Battle to Integrate Little Rock's Central High School,” was heartbreaking to watch. This interview is the hard to envision that a child had to endure such horrible treatment. There are a couple of things that really disturbed me about how President Dwight D. Eisenhower responded by sending in soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division to Little Rock's Central High School to make sure the 9 students would be able to integrate with the other students. My heart broke when Melba Pattillo Beals explained being 15 years old and having to run for her life because adults, wanted to hang her and they were actually chasing her and her mother. When she said for the first time in her life her mother slapped her…

Since moving to Bettendorf for my High School years I have learned more than I could imagine and for that, I will be grateful for forever. I have learned more about myself, more in school, and most importantly I have learned from my mistakes including how to fix them to prevent myself from ever making them again. Everyone makes mistakes and may possibly get in trouble for these. I will never forget Bettendorf High School nor February 28th, 2018. February 28th was a day that has changed how I think about my best friends, and also made think about everyone a lot more than I did before.…

It all started in third grade when my parents got an email asking if I wanted to do traveling softball. I had just finished my first season of VAA softball and my friend Katie and I decided it sounded like fun. I didn't really know what it meant to be on a travelling softball team back then, I just thought it would be as laid back as VAA. My first year I loved it and I had lots of fun and made lots of new friends. I would practice with my dad often so that I could get better.…

I am Elizabeth Taylor, I am a senior at Mission Springs High School. I am seventeen years of age. I am the oldest of seven grandchildren and three siblings, so you can imagine how much pressure is on me to be the “perfect role model” for the younger generations. Through the lies and starving eyes of the monster, called life, with the nickname of high school, there was always someone lurking around every corner waiting to knock down its next victim. Waiting for someone to doubt themselves just for a second so they can whisper things to ravage everything that they have or will have. It was at the commencement of high school where I realized that we were the verdant people celebrating that everything was just one sizable voluminous fantasy and that everyone could be confided in our group of friends. I slowly had this realization back when I trusted my friends not to abandon me when I struggled to control my clandestine shadows. Ha sounds a little hysterical when you say it that way a battle of my own shadows.…
