Lake Descriptive Writing

The Lake School is out and I’m ready for the lake, but the only problem is that it has been raining for a week now. When you think of summer, you imagine sunshine and endless play. It’s time to go to the lake and enjoy the outdoors. Unfortunately I'm stuck inside bored for days. I’m ready to be outside and feel the sun on my skin, the wind against my face, and the water underneath my body. All in all, I’m ready for the rain to stop.

It finally stopped raining and it's a Monday afternoon. My family has decided that it will be a good idea to wait till Thursday or Friday to go to the lake. That way the weather can warm up and the water at the lake can settle a bit before we go. I’m excited for the lake, its what I've been waiting to start my summer off with. I start packing like there is no tomorrow. I'm making sure I have everything and anything I need or will need.

It’s Thursday now. My family and I are finally here at the lake and ready to enjoy some sun and water fun. Every summer my family and I ride the jet ski, water tube, and

Now this was my first time to go tubing since we’ve been at the lake . I felt pretty confident that I could land this new trick I had seen on YouTube. The boat picks up speed and I'm ready to try the double flip on the tube. I get my balance right and I'm thinking that there is no way that I can mess it up. So I go for the first flip to warm up. I land the first one perfectly. Then I get ready to do the double. I get balanced and then I go for the double tube flip. I’m now going for into my second flip and I’m like awesome. I got this, but I then I lose my balance. I land flat on my face. I can’t breathe. I’m just swallowing water at this point trying to flip back over. I finally realized that I needed to let go because I was too panicked to flip back over. My time at the lake was fun, but I will never try the double flip

Then, we took a couple of laps around the neighborhood with my dog, Lincoln and we had a couple of wrecks along the way. While riding around we stopped for a bit to climb trees and to play tag for a bit. All of us ended up getting sick of playing on the hoverboards and we played football for a bit without hoverboards. And we also jumped on my trampoline.…

I had been wakeboarding before so I knew how to, but it was my cousin's first time, so it was funny to watch them because they fell a lot. They couldn’t even stand up for a while, and once they would stand up they couldn’t keep their balance and would topple over. We also had a lot of fun tubing. Sometimes, we would play games on the tube, like seeing who could stay on the longest without holding on. After we were tired out , we got to tie dye shirts.…

Ever since I was little I have been very adventurous and open-minded to trying new things. I was always excited to have the opportunity to make new memories that would last a lifetime. I went to Sixflags Over Texas quite a bit as a child, since it was only thirty minutes from my house. Every time I made my way toward the Superman I would stop and admire the people on the ride known as Dive Bomber Alley. A ride that slowly brings you up to a one hundred and fifty foot arch before it drops you with nothing but the sky to catch your fall.…

Have you ever seen anyone with a large Aircast boot on each foot? If you have not, although rare, it is possible, and if you have, you probably saw me. I started to go with the mindset of throwing the backflip. I went up, hit the spine transfer, tail-tapped the pole at the top, and then came down the landing and was picking up speed. I came up on the pole jam at a high rate of speed and board-slid up it and 180 off it back onto the ground. Landing the way I did made me pick up even more speed. At this point I was probably rolling at 40-45mph.…

The waves of the lake bend over like a weak sapling in the middle of a terrible storm. The sun was covered by clouds which dulled its brightness in a unique way. The pain busted in my fingers as I tightly clenched the rough rope. I pushed through knowing the hit of the water would be far more painful. The taste of sweat, dripping, slower than the molasses that was poured over my biscuit, that morning.…
