Lake Degrey Compare And Contrast

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in the wild? Do you envision dangerous animals and food cooked over a fire you had to build? One way that you can have that experience is by camping on a nature preserve or at a large lake. I have camped many times while growing up but the two places I remember the most would be Wichita Mountains or Lake DeGrey. Both of the places are places that people can go camping at if they are looking to get out of the city. Wichita Mountains is a better place to camp than Lake DeGrey because of the environment, history, and the animals you can see. Wichita Mountains has many animals that people do not see on a regular bases. some of them include buffalo, elk, scorpions and tarantulas. There was a morning that we were cooking breakfast and we heard something large coming toward us and the next thing we knew was that we had two bison walking around our camp site. Another time was when we were getting ready for bed we were walking to the bathrooms and as we were going we looked down and there were scorpions all over the place. When we reached the bathroom there on the side walk was a tarantula. While there I saw a rattlesnake in a tank and was happy that Wichita Mountains is a wild life preserve.Lake DeGrey is second because the only animals that you see are maybe fish and some birds. When there we did not have to worry about animals that might cause harm. There was a time when we were in the water playing and there was a snake that was in the water. My parents had us all stop moving and playing while they figured out what kind of snake it was it was eventually confirmed that it was a normal snake.
