Would you rather have your love of your life die in front of you or get married to another woman. In the short story “Lady or the Tiger”, the king is in charge of the arena. The arena is a place where the accused goes to be punished. In this arena the king has decided as punishment for the accused they get to choose their own faith by choosing between two doors. Behind one door is a tiger and behind the other door is a lady the accused gets to marry. One of the characters in the story is in love with the princess. The king does not like this and sends him to the arena. Before the princess’s lover went to the arena, princess found out what was behind each door.
