Although the situation can be seen from either side, it is more predictable that without Lady Macbeth, there would not be a Macbeth. She was the prime influence on all of the tragic decisions made, leaving her at a higher rank than Macbeth even though he had earned the official title. She was directly obeyed by Macbeth, as well as other individuals under the direction and force of Macbeth. Lady Macbeth shows dramatic interest towards Macbeth, but proves herself to always one-up him. She is wanting to provide the safest environment for herself that could potentially lead her to have a royal title like Macbeth does. However, she is determined that her husband will not make the choices himself and needs guided towards the actions taken for protection.
