Lady macbeth killing herself is one of the major ways that she was showing weakness because she can not handle the fact of her being helpless also not being in control(character analysis.) The connection between macbeth and lady macbeth began to fall apart when macbeth becomes mad with making sure he had the prophecy fulfilled. When lady macbeth committed suicide, macbeth was not the least concerned since he found her no longer important to his plans. As the story unfolds, it is almost like lady macbeth and macbeth have switched places. Macbeth kept banquo’s death from his wife, and lady macbeth becomes the unstable one. Macbeth’s personality becomes harsh and evil to anyone who might get in the way of his throne. The couple both had greed, selfishness, and desire for the throne and deteriorated their relationship also causing three deaths including his own wife’s.
In conclusion,lady macbeth had control over macbeth at the beginning of the story when he killed the king, but slowly lost control when he started to become insane and she began to fade into the background. Macbeth began to come up with his own schemes and planning to become king that he is forgetting about his ill wife. The lost of power that lady Macbeth had over her husband contributed to her death because he became the one overwhelmed with power, and wanted nothing more than to become king
