Lady Macbeth is ruthless, she will do anything to get the thrown from King Duncan. She is conflicted by being a woman and having the power she needs to kill him herself, but she manipulate her husband into killing King Duncan. In act 1 scene 5, Lady Macbeth said “Only look up clear; to alter favour ever is to fear: Leave all the rest to me. She is telling her husband if you kill him I will clean up your mess. Lady Macbeth plays her role to get what she want she tells her husband to be a man which starts conflict between his masculinity and if he’s violent enough to kill the king.
