Lady Liberty: A Visual Analysis

Money can be disintegration of things. Money can produce happiness but can also create cause pain and discomfort to others. This image is trying to conveying a compelling message. This intricate piece of art translated this message. The image is showing letters which spell money. Parts of the letters is outline green to show three dimensional letters. The rest of art is cover in black and white. Above the letter “m” there are buildings in the background and money sign floating above the picture. In the middle of the picture is Lady Liberty but it is not the way someone would expected Lady Liberty. Her face downcast with her hands obscuring her face because she is distress by the fact what America is turning into. She also has a green speckle on her left hand. Above the letters “ONEY” are two bald eagles. The Bald Eagles are national bird of America, therefore someone can presume that this is for America and not for France since they have a Lady Liberty too. Under the letters “ONEY” and beside Lady Liberty is more money signs. …show more content…
Lady Liberty caught my attention first because she is front and center of the painting. And she is a national representation of freedom. The next that grasped my attention was the bald eagles. My eyes travel from Lady Liberty crowned onto the bald eagles. The bald eagles are the national bird. Then my eyes coasted left to right so I then seen the letter “M” then the money signs and buildings. After my eyes left that part of the image it went to the letters “ONEY” and the money signs that was right below that. I think the artist was intelligent for the way he laid out the image.
