The American singer, songwriter, and actress - Lady Gaga, will be feted as Billboard's 2015 Woman of the Year at the American music magazine's 10th annual Women in Music event.

Lady Gaga will be succeeding the 'Shake it Off' singer Taylor Swift, who appeared at last year's intimate event, that also celebrated the Grammy Hall of Fame - Aretha Franklin, the American singer and actress - Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea (Australian rapper and songwriter), the Price Tag hitmaker Jessie J, along with the English singer and songwriter Charli XCX and Idina Menzel.

The Poker Face hitmaker will receive the award on December 11 at Cipriani Midtown in New York. Billboard's 10th annual Women in Music event will be televised for the first time, and will be held in connection with the publication of Billboard's Women in Music list, the event will select the year's 50 most robust females in the music industry.
