The company Ladurée's target's a variety of people usually from the higher social class, some tourists, and people who are interested in learning the lifestyle and history behind the founders of Ladurée. The retail strategy in a way is considering the target market mentioned above. Ladurée was founded and established in Paris, France and since then they became well-known for their delicious macaroons. They have entered the United States market which isn't free but comes with a price.

Ladurée started as a Parisian café and now is known as a Parisian café and shop. Since, they are located near the Eiffel Tower they made their prices to be affordable to tourists but mainly focus on catching the eyes of the luxury and high-class people. The retail strategy is the first step for a business who decides to become an international business and it takes time to build a sustainable and competitive format plan. The famous French pastry company is only at the beginning of expanding their company to other countries. There are currently 39 Ladurée stores in 14 countries and counting.
